Lynddahl’s story began in 1973 with one machine, a garage, and a strong belief in craftsmanship. Since then, we’ve grown steadily – not just in size, but in knowledge, capability, and ambition. From our roots as a family-owned business, we’ve built one of Northern Europe’s leading plastic manufacturers, delivering intelligent hose solutions to more than 100 industries worldwide.

Our journey is shaped by action. By people who take responsibility, share knowledge, and continuously seek smarter ways of working. We’ve expanded, evolved, and embraced new technologies – without ever losing sight of the values that started it all.

Milestones

Here are some of the key moments that have shaped who we are today.

1973

The beginning

Founded as a family-owned company by Bjarne and Jenny Lynddahl in a 600 m² garage. The company began producing hoses for milking machines and garden use.

1980s–1990s

Growth and expansion

Demand grew fast, and so did we. Through the 80s and 90s, Lynddahl expanded in product range and markets, becoming one of Northern Europe’s largest hose producers.

2000s

Generational shift

Bjarne and Jenny passed the torch to their son, Rasmus Lynddahl. With deep respect for the company’s roots, he modernised the production and strengthened the link between traditional craftsmanship and industrial innovation.

2020s

Strategic growth

Major business development was made, including acquisitions, new ventures and divestments. Building new competencies and capabilities, shaping Lynddahl for the future.

2024

A new chapter

Rasmus Lynddahl partners with Michael Bayer Thomsen, who assumes daily leadership and brings Lynddahl and Mutag together under the Matters Group.

2025
